Baggage Migration Community meetings are on hold during the pandemic. Future topics include sub code management and adoption of Weight & Size Table 192.

Important reminders when migrating baggage data

Due to COVID-19, airlines may have limited resources that can result in delays to the baggage migration.
Airlines working with systems not yet prepared for the migration from Service Type F (flight-related services) to Service Type C (baggage charges) should maintain two baggage provision filings – one in Service Type F and one in Service Type C. This will ensure the baggage policies will be available in all channels.
Airlines migrating from Service Type F to Service Type C should set the “Prepaid/Check-In” tag in ATPCO Optional Services Type C. This tag controls whether the baggage fees are offered for prepaid and/or check-in (Note: when no action is taken and left Blank, the assumption is that they apply for prepaid and check-in)
